5 Year Old Princess

Little H just turned the BIG 5 and joined me at the park in her princess dress for her birthday portraits. This little cutie brought the sass with her booty shaking, hip popping poses. It was super cute! She has definitely changed from the days when she had to be bribed with nerds and suckers :) I love when little girls get comfortable and let their inner super model out for their sessions! 

Thank you guys for choosing me year after year to document your beautiful family. You guys have some of the cutest kiddos ever and I'm thankful that I've been able to capture their lives for you!!! 

OK, so smoke bombs don't seem to be as easy as advertised and we had a little bit of a fail but we still got a few cool images!! 

Beautiful Birthday Girl

Our sweet friends' little girl is about to celebrate her first birthday so we met at the park to capture this sweet time. We were pulling out all the stops to get some smiles ... which were so worth it :) I could just eat this little cutie with a spoon.  I can't believe its been a year since I captured little R's newborn portraits. Time just passes way too quick.

A 5th Birthday Boy

This little cutie just turned 5 and so we met for our annual photo session ... which I always look forward to! I've had the pleasure of photographing him since he was just a few days new so it is always special to spend some time with this sweet family and to see how much the kiddos have grown and changed. This little guy has definitely grown since I last saw him in the fall. We met up on some private property and it was fun to explore a new place ... especially this new place that had so many great portrait spots. I think a great background for family portraits is often times overlooked but it really helps to choose a location that is versatile, has great light, and is inspiring. This place definitely checked all of the boxes!

Happy Happy Birthday

I met a cute new fella this past weekend to capture his 2 year portraits. I loved his shirt and matching hat ... perfect for a birthday photo session. Little "T" loved running around on the trail so he surely kept me on my toes. I love a workout while I work :) All kidding aside, this little guy was all boy - adventurous and energetic ... exactly how I love them!

Sweet Blue Eyed Cutie

I was so excited to catch up with little "T" at the park. I've been photographing this little blue eyed cutie since he was a baby and it is always a treat to see him and his sweet family. I went to high school with his parents and they are just the most precious family!

To Infinity And Beyond

Little "L" recently celebrated his birthday so I got to see him for his annual birthday photo session. He brought along some of his favorite toys and was so cute playing with them. I love that his birthday sessions always capture his true personality at that particular age ... and will one day give a reminder of his favorite things at the time.

Spring Portraits ... In Super Cold Weather :)

I can't wait for Spring ... for longer days, warm weather, and the golden sunset that makes for such beautiful light. Yesterday definitely wasn't even close to Spring. It was cold and windy and cold. But, the "A" family looked beautiful in their Spring colors so we tried to forget about the cold and the wind and pretend it was sunny and warm. Little "K" and "A" really did amazing and were such troopers ... in fact, they may have dealt with the cold better than me and I had a coat on :)

A Beautiful Afternoon

After 2 reschedules because of sickness and 1 reschedule due to weather, the "W" family and I finally met up at the park for a family portrait session. And it was well worth the wait as it was a perfect afternoon. This is a super sweet and fun family, and I really enjoyed spending a little time with them. "R" just recently turned 9 and is just a pleasure to be around! This session really made me long for spring - and the warmer weather and portrait sessions it will bring!
