My photo
Welcome to my blog - where I can share my personal life and my photography! I am married to the most wonderful man and I have an amazing little boy who lights up my every moment. I have always loved taking pictures but over the past few years it has really become a more serious passion. I think one of the most fun things about taking someone's picture is being able to CAPTURE that particular moment in time so that it can be held onto forever! I prefer natural light, on location photography that allows people to just be themselves. If you are interested in contacting me regarding photography please send me an email to holly@simplycapturedphotographybyhollybenfield.com Oh yeah, and I'd love to hear what you think ... so feel free to leave comments at the end of my blog posts. God Bless!!

Extended Family

I had the joy of capturing this beautiful family this past weekend. I love when families choose to include extended family members and document the special bond that transcends generations. I only wish I had similar portraits of me and my sisters with our grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles when we were children ... Those would truly be special to me today.

Thank you all for bearing the unusually warm temperatures and allowing me to capture your sweet family. Here is a sneak peek of our time together!

Rain Rain Go Away

I was praying the rain would hold off this past weekend so that I could capture another of my favorite families for their annual fall portrait session. Just as I neared our session location the rain began to fall ... "oh no" I thought ... Then, as I pull closer to the location I realize that there is a festival right where we need to be ... "Oh this really isn't good" I thought. Thankfully, this family was a trooper as we quickly changed locations and also dodged the rain. We were able to finish the session before the rain really got heavy and location B turned out to be perfect.

Thank you C Family for choosing me to capture your beautiful family again this year. I can't believe how much the kiddos have grown and changed since I first met you all. I always enjoy our time together! Here is a sneak peek!

7 Years Has Flown By

I photographed this little one when she was just a few days new ... and now she's turning 7 so it was time for her annual portrait session! She is such a little lady - so sweet and fun. She has been taking horseback riding lessons and we were able to have our session at the barn where she has loved learning to ride. You could tell how much she loves the horses and how comfortable she has become with them! Thankfully, the 100% chance of rain held off (for the most part) until we finished our time together!

V Family ... Thank you again for allowing me to document your beautiful family time and time again. You guys are the best! Here is your sneak peek!

Welcoming Fall

I welcome Fall each year with all of the wonderful families who honor me by allowing me to capture them. I always love seeing many of the same families each year ... getting to see how much the kiddos have grown and changed ... and developing real relationships. I also look forward to and love meeting new families each year!

This is one of those families that I've been capturing for years and it is always wonderful catching up with them. We had beautiful weather Friday afternoon for this beautiful family, and I loved exploring our location with little B and H - who are so super cute!

Thank you L Family for choosing me to document this year for you and your sweet family. As always, it was wonderful seeing you all. Here is a sneak peek into our time together.

Meet Our Family's Newest Addition!!

I am so excited to share that God sent us a new little miracle at the end of August. We had kind of assumed that our family was complete although I could never really definitively say that. With Sawyer approaching kindergarten and Wyatt getting way too old way too fast, I couldn't keep the possibility of having another baby off my mind. It kind of hit me quick and strong. I told Andrew that he would probably think I was crazy but that I wanted another baby ... Without hesitation he said OK, Him Too! And so we decided that our family of 4 would become a family of 5 if it were God's will. About 11 months later we happily welcomed this little guy into our lives!

Meet Knox Kesler ... Our perfect little one ... Our third boy ... The completion of our family. We are incredibly blessed!
