My photo
Welcome to my blog - where I can share my personal life and my photography! I am married to the most wonderful man and I have an amazing little boy who lights up my every moment. I have always loved taking pictures but over the past few years it has really become a more serious passion. I think one of the most fun things about taking someone's picture is being able to CAPTURE that particular moment in time so that it can be held onto forever! I prefer natural light, on location photography that allows people to just be themselves. If you are interested in contacting me regarding photography please send me an email to holly@simplycapturedphotographybyhollybenfield.com Oh yeah, and I'd love to hear what you think ... so feel free to leave comments at the end of my blog posts. God Bless!!

A tiny peanut

Oh my ... this precious newborn weighed in at 5Lbs 11 oz so she was just a tiny peanut when I met her yesterday. Her mommy was one of my best friends all through school and it was a special blessing to reconnect with her and to be able to be a part of this exciting time!! Baby "F" was so so good for her session (well, as long as I didn't try to put her on her belly), and I loved getting to hold her, pose her, and capture her.

Mallary and Thomas ... It was great seeing you both! I'm so happy for you guys and for your perfect new addition to your sweet family!! Thank you so much for inviting me into your home and trusting me to document baby "F's" perfect newness. Here is a sneak peek!!

Little Miss G: 4 Months

Baby "G" came to see me yesterday for her 4 month mini session. She looked super cute in her Cowboys outfit ... complete with a matching sequin bow and darling little cowgirl boots! Precious little "G"  just couldn't stay awake for her photo shoot so her grandmother got her to sleep and we decided to just capture her sleeping ... which was really sweet and cute :)

Here is a sneak peek ...

Natasha + Clay: A Sweet Church Wedding

This past Saturday I had the honor of capturing the sweet wedding of a very sweet couple, Clay & Natasha. These two kept things simple ... focusing on each other, their family, and friends ... as they made life long vows to one another before God in the sanctuary of First Baptist in Kings Mountain. Natasha is from Canada and Clay is from Nebraska ... both on the track & field team at Gardner Webb for the past 4 years ... so there were friends and family from all over who traveled to see this love story sealed with marriage.

Clay & Natasha ... Congratulations! I pray God will bless your marriage, and I wish you both nothing but the best. Thank you for trusting me to capture your big day ... it was an honor.

Here is a super long sneak peek!!

And Baby Makes 5!

I had the opportunity on Sunday to meet a sweet new family who welcomed their third little one just a week ago. Newborn baby "H" was so precious ... I just love to see God's miracles in their first few days at home. I also had the great pleasure of spending a little time with his super cute big sister and brother who were completely smitten with their new baby. I think these will definitely be three close knit siblings!

Thank you very much "J" family for inviting me into your home to capture your newest addition and the love that surrounds him!! It was truly a pleasure getting to know each of you just a bit. Here is a sneak peek into our time together.

Little "C's" Turning 3!

Every year I have the honor of capturing little C and big sis A around each of their birthdays. I love getting to see how much they've grown and changed and spend a little time with their super sweet family. This time it was Mr. C who is coming up on a birthday ... his third ... and I LOVED how his daddy brought out the old truck for a few fun and special portraits. (And I sure am thankful the rain finished almost just in time.) I love how boys love trucks and running through the grass and just how boys are boys. I love how C would talk to me in this cute little voice and then would get all serious and start talking in a deep manly voice ... it made me smile ... just like this family always does :)

Thank you, V family, for allowing me to continue our tradition of documenting your sweet and beautiful family ... I truly look forward to it! Here is a sneak peek of our time together.
