I love newborns ... their super soft skin, curled toes, sweet whimpering sounds ... oh I could go on and on and on. Today I got to meet 6 day new baby "D". This beautiful little girl was born into a home filled with lots of love and support. She also has a very proud big brother who I can tell will always protect and watch over his baby sister. It really was just a joy to be in their home today and to be able to capture this precious little miracle sent straight from Heaven.
Thank you, M Family, for allowing me the opportunity to document this exciting time in your lives. Here is a sneak peek into our time together today!

- Welcome to my blog - where I can share my personal life and my photography! I am married to the most wonderful man and I have an amazing little boy who lights up my every moment. I have always loved taking pictures but over the past few years it has really become a more serious passion. I think one of the most fun things about taking someone's picture is being able to CAPTURE that particular moment in time so that it can be held onto forever! I prefer natural light, on location photography that allows people to just be themselves. If you are interested in contacting me regarding photography please send me an email to holly@simplycapturedphotographybyhollybenfield.com Oh yeah, and I'd love to hear what you think ... so feel free to leave comments at the end of my blog posts. God Bless!!

Caution Tape, A Random Fence, and Tears
Let me first explain the title of this post ... I met the "C" family at one of my favorite parks to find a huge black tarp covering the fountain, yellow caution tape all in the background, a new fence blocking another favorite spot, and one little fellow who just couldn't stop his tears. Guess it's good that I don't mind a challenge :) And even better that this sweet family (and dear friends of ours) didn't get disappointed as we kept finding that this perfect park was less than perfect on this particular day. As for little "L's" tears ... well, bless his heart he just didn't feel well but still managed to give us a few smiles. Little ones are so unpredictable (especially on portrait day) and sometimes you just have to let go of your idea of a perfect portrait session and make the best of the smiles and happiness you do get along the way ... which the "C" family totally did.
Thank you guys for allowing me to capture your beautiful family again!! Here is a sneak peek into our time together!
This smile was worth waiting for ...
