My photo
Welcome to my blog - where I can share my personal life and my photography! I am married to the most wonderful man and I have an amazing little boy who lights up my every moment. I have always loved taking pictures but over the past few years it has really become a more serious passion. I think one of the most fun things about taking someone's picture is being able to CAPTURE that particular moment in time so that it can be held onto forever! I prefer natural light, on location photography that allows people to just be themselves. If you are interested in contacting me regarding photography please send me an email to holly@simplycapturedphotographybyhollybenfield.com Oh yeah, and I'd love to hear what you think ... so feel free to leave comments at the end of my blog posts. God Bless!!

Rainy Day

On Sunday afternoon I set off to capture one of my favorite families as well as their friends' children who were visiting from New York. Unfortunately, the weather just wouldn't cooperate and it rained the whole time I was at their home. Sometimes you have to through your plan out the window, though, and just make it work. :) Natural light is my passion so being restricted to the indoors, especially when there is a lack of light coming through, was a bit of a challenge but I hope that I was able to capture a few memories for these two sweet families.

Thank you guys for being so "easy" (wink wink) and for allowing me to capture your beautiful families. Here is your sneak peek!

A little background for the next two ... Carrie got these cute little cheeseburger and french fry shirts for her and little "H" so they had a McDonalds cheeseburger and fry picnic while I captured the cute moments between mom and daughter :)

Chris + Stacey, A Lakeside Wedding - Part 1

The sky was dark, the wind was blowing strong, and the weather man was predicting rain. At the same time, Stacey and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the big day ... all the while hoping the rain would hold off just long enough for a beautiful lakeside wedding ceremony. Before they walked the aisle, Chris and Stacey opted to do a first look. You could read the excitement and nervousness all over Chris's face as Stacey started her walk towards him. It was a super sweet moment ... Chris turned to see his bride for the first time, all smiles, and they just hugged and had a much anticipated moment of togetherness ... just the two of them.

We made it to the ceremony site, Chris and Stacey's lakeside backyard, just in time for a light rain to begin to fall. Amazingly, though, the sun broke through the clouds and the rain dried up just as the minister began. It was like a little wedding gift straight from God :)

The ceremony was short and very sweet, with both Chris and Stacey writing their own vows. Then, everyone went under the tent for dinner, dancing, and some very funny toasts. It was a great night ... way cold for May ... but wonderful, fun, and beautiful!!

Chris and Stacey, Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being a part of your big day! Here is PART 1 of your sneak peek ... Stay tuned for PART 2.
