A Christmas Proposal

I was asked to capture Taylor proposing to Brooke at the sight of their first date, the Billy Graham Library. Taylor worked really hard to make this night perfect and to set everything up so it would be extra special for Brooke and I must say he did a great job!

Photographing at night is super tricky ... and it definitely isn't in my wheel house as a natural light photographer ... but I was honored to be a part of this exciting and special moment and hope that these images will give them something to look back on for years to come as they tell the story of their engagement over and over.

Braving the Cold ...

Wow was it cold this morning ... but not too cold for an extended family photo session. Well, there were a couple of kiddos who may disagree and say it was definitely too cold :) Despite the weather, I had a great time with the H & G families ... capturing their closeness & abundant prettiness ... and hopefully sealing in the memory of their family as it is right in this moment through photographs that will last a lifetime - or possibly even a few lifetimes.

A Baby On The Way!

Jason and Heather are expecting their first little bundle of joy in just a few weeks, and I was so thrilled that they chose me to document this very special and exciting time. I love maternity portrait sessions ... seeing parents so giddy about their little ones and knowing just how much they have to look forward to ... and how becoming a parent is greater than you could ever explain.

Christmas Cookies

I visited with the B Family this morning for a "Christmas Cookie Session". The kiddos were super cute in all of their Christmas outfits and were excited about the impending arrival of Santa Claus! We had a fun time and I loved getting to capture their joy ... you just can't beat a child's joy at Christmas Time. This is the third time I've photographed these little cuties, and I just love it because I feel like they open up more and more each time :)
